  14. I just bought a new system with a 28.8 modem. The only problem I've had is that 
  15. when using my win95 internet dial-up, the modem makes about 1 second of sound, 
  16. and then it stops making any sound for the rest of the dial-up.

  18. All my volume settings are configured to produce sound (and I can hear it for 
  19. about a second) so it's not a volume thing.

  21. Is this something that can be changed with AT commands, or is it a modem problem?
